Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area

Huaguo Mountain showcases a breathtaking scenery with its natural landscapes that blend the sea and mountains, and contrast between steep and open vistas. It is famously associated with the story of ‘Journey to the West’, featuring the birthplace of Sun Wukong, the Nuwa Stone, his dwelling, the Water Curtain Cave, the Seventy-Two Demons’ Caves, Tang Monk Cliff, Pigsy Stone, Sandy Stone, the Old Lord Hall, the Fairy Bridge, the Southern Heavenly Gate, the Tang Monk’s Family Stele, the Sea Illuminating Pavilion, the Lazy Man Stone, the Beautiful Pine, the One-Line Sky, and the Nine-Dragon Bridge, all vividly and lifelike. The summit, Yu Nu Peak, is the tallest peak in Jiangsu Province.
