The Huai’an Zoo has developed on the basis of the original ‘Fuxing Zoo’ in 1958. On September 16, 2012, the old Huai’an Zoo was closed, and the animals in the park were moved to a new location. The main entrance of the new site is located at No. 198, Jiankang West Road (west side of Liushuwan Square), and the secondary entrance is located on the east side of the intersection of Huaihai West Road and Hanhou Avenue.


The new park covers an area of about 25 hectares, nearly eight times larger than before, and the variety of animals has tripled. The new zoo covers an area of about 360 mu and has 2,000 square meters of various animal cages. There are more than 60 kinds of animals and nearly 600 animals. There are hundreds of various flowers, plants and trees, and the green coverage rate is over 90%. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 16:30; Open all year round from 08:00 to 16:00.
