The Huainan Museum was established in 1958. It is a local comprehensive museum and a national second-class museum. It has a collection of 2,545 pieces (sets) (actually more than 6,000 pieces). The collections of Sui and Tang ancient Shouzhou kiln porcelain, Cai and Chu bronzes and bronze mirror series from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period have local characteristics. There are currently four basic exhibition halls, namely ‘Treasures of Huai Soil – Collections of Cultural Relics in Huainan Museum’, ‘Exhibition of Fine Shouzhou Kiln Porcelain’, ‘Appreciating the Past and Reflecting on the Present – Exhibition of Bronze Mirrors in Huainan Museum’s Collection’, and ‘Exhibition of Calligraphy and Paintings in Huainan Museum’s Collection’, as well as three temporary exhibition halls.


Every year, more than ten temporary exhibitions are held irregularly. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, open from 09:00 to 17:00; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:00 to 17:00 on National Day.
