Huangjing Town is located in the northeast of Taicang City, Jiangsu Province. It has a long history and developed culture.
The town has an area of 58.5 square kilometers and a 3.5-kilometer coastline along the Yangtze River. It is a supporting area for Taicang Port, a major port of the national first-class port and the supporting trunk port of Shanghai Port. It is located at the forefront of the Yangtze River Delta, at the intersection of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the coastal open belt. It is 63 kilometers south of Shanghai and 70 kilometers west of Suzhou. It is only a 10-minute drive to the international container terminal of Taicang Port. It has unique location advantages of being close to Shanghai, echoing Suzhou, and being adjacent to the river and the port. Huangjing Town belongs to the southern humid climate zone of the northern subtropics. It has four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, mild climate, sufficient sunlight, and rich water resources. The terrain inside is flat, with rivers crisscrossing and fertile land. It is a typical fishing and rice town in the south of the Yangtze River. Huangjing Town has convenient land, water and air transportation. There are crisscrossing roads in the territory, connecting National Highways 204 and 312. The first-class highway from Shanghai to Taicang passes through the town area. The “first ferry on the Yangtze River” – Taihai Ferry has become a link connecting the north and south of the Yangtze River. Railway transportation can be transferred through Shanghai Station, Kunshan Station and Suzhou Station. Aviation transportation is one hour away from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and 1.5 hours away from Pudong Airport. Water transportation connects domestic ports through the Yangtze River and connects international shipping through Taicang Port.
