Viewing the Thousand Islands Lake from Huangshanjian offers an exceptional experience. Upon reaching the summit and overlooking to the northwest, over ninety islands come into view, resembling strings of pearls scattered across the lake surface. Remarkably, these islands are ingeniously arranged to form the four large characters ‘World Belongs to the Public’. Particularly, the character ‘Public’ is vividly portrayed with grandeur, a wonder to behold, the largest ‘Public’ in the world.

Looking towards the southeast, a deep valley passes between Huangshanjian and Xian Mountain Island. To the southwest, the vast lake stretches endlessly with the Mǔ Mountain Island shrouded in clouds.

Huangshanjian Scenic Spot is located within the Pearl Island area in the southeast lake district of the Thousand Islands Lake, adjacent to the Xianshan Tourism and Holiday Resort. The main peak rises to an elevation of 266 meters, making it one of the taller islands among the Pearl Islands. The scenic area is characterized by ‘beautiful waters, unique islands, and serene scenery’. There are a mid-hill viewing platform and a summit viewing platform on the mountain. Visitors can choose to take the cable car to the top or enjoy the ascent by steps, immersed in the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers.

The opening hours are from 08:00 to 18:00 all year round.
