Huatang Ancient Village, adjacent to the former residence of Wang Xizhi, is located at the foot of Wo Ni Mountain in Jinting Town. The village was originally settled by Wang Hongji, the 26th descendant of the Eastern Jin Dynasty’s great calligrapher Wang Xizhi, and has experienced over 800 years of development. A large number of ancient architectural complexes from the Ming and Qing dynasties still exist within the village, including temples, halls, ancestral halls, residences, archways, bridges, watchtowers, ponds, wells, and water channels. Some of the more famous ones include the Wang family’s residence, Yiqing Hall, Shanqing Hall, and Ningyuan Hall. The village is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
