In the era of Shang Tang, Zhong Hui, the left prime minister, was enfeoffed and built a city here. People call it ‘Huicheng King City’. Now only the remnants such as Huicheng King’s Tomb, Huicheng King’s Temple, Moonlit Well, and horse trough remain.

Moonlit Well: At the southeast corner of Ding Daoshang’s courtyard in the northeast of Huicheng Village, also known as Yingyue Well. Legend has it that once every sixty years, the moonlight can directly shine to the bottom of the well. Whenever the moonlight shines directly to the bottom of the well, a fireball will rise from the well and land on Huicheng King’s Tomb four miles southwest of the village and extinguish. It is said that the Ding family in Huicheng Village named the hall number of this branch as ‘Moonlit Hall’ because of this allusion.

Horse trough: There is a puddle to the east of Ding Daoshang’s house. Under a large willow tree to the north of the puddle, there is an ordinary bluestone water trough abandoned. It is about 1.5 meters long, about 0.8 meters wide, and about 0.3 meters deep. The workmanship is extremely rough and has been artificially damaged. Originally by the well, it has been weathered and eroded for a long time. It is said to be the horse trough in Huicheng King’s mansion in those days.

Huicheng King’s Tomb: In Dahu Lou Village, about four miles southwest of Huicheng Village, there is the legendary Huicheng King’s Tomb. The tomb is a tall circular mound, about 15 meters high. The bottom of the mound covers about one mu. It is tall and lofty, like a mound. Nearby is a Bixi stele base with its head smashed off. The tomb was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.

Huicheng King’s Temple: The temple site is at the east end of Malou Village, Liangzhai Town, Fengxian County. It was advocated and repaired by local people in 1940. There are three main halls and three small rooms on each side of the north and south of the accessory rooms. It is a brick-wood structure with blue bricks and green tiles, with a strong ethnic architectural style. Inside the temple stands a seated statue of Huicheng King, wearing a crown and a python robe. With a long beard of five strands, he is full of vigor and vitality. He is 0.5 meters high and made of boxwood. Two divine armored guards hold weapons and look majestic. They are 0.45 meters high. The statues are vividly painted with various pigments. In front of the main hall, there is a stele on each side. One records the virtues of Huicheng King, and the other records the significance of building the temple.

Opening hours: The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
