Huiyin Gaoli Temple is a characteristic tourist attraction with temple architecture as the carrier and religious culture as the keynote. Many of its attractions are unique, such as the Wheel Storage Hall, the unique shapes of the Four Heavenly Kings, Buddha statues, murals…;…; Particularly worth mentioning is the ‘revolving sutra repository’ in the Wheel Storage Hall. Briefly speaking, the’revolving sutra repository’ is a tall wooden building in the style of a pagoda, which contains a vast number of scriptures. The Wheel Storage Hall is a place specially set up in temples to place scriptures. In Buddhism, it has the meaning of ‘pushing it once around is no different from reading a complete Tripitaka’. What is extremely unique and wonderful is that this building can rotate around the central spindle under human power. This exquisite revolving repository weighing several tons can be pushed by human power. One person stands at each of the four sides, holding the handle and moving slowly. Pilgrims can push while slowly appreciating the essence inside.
