Historically known as Lihe Tan, Huludao is surrounded by lakes on all sides, nestled close to the clouds and water. When viewed from above, it resembles a ‘gourd’ lying peacefully on Yangcheng Lake, hence its name, Huludao. The ecological garden covers an area of 800 acres, with beautiful scenery, and is considered a prime location in Yangcheng Lake. It will be developed into a high-end professional equestrian practice facility integrating leisure, vacation, and entertainment.
Relying on the numerous cultural landscapes on the island, there are 30 scenic spots including Fuxing Island, Lu Yue Island, Peach Blossom Island, Furong Garden, Wetland Viewing Area, Agricultural Product Picking Garden, Pastoral Scenery, Fishing Center, Lotus Pond, Aquatic Plant Viewing Area, Fisherman’s Home, Tea Garden, Boat Dock, and Water World. Enjoy crabs and admire furong flowers, while exploring the reed marshes. The fertile land on Huludao Island is particularly suitable for the growth of furong flowers. In October, when autumn arrives, the island is surrounded by colorful furong flowers. As the breeze blows, the fragrance wafts through the air. Yangcheng Lake is famous for its hairy crabs, and September and October are the seasons when they come to market. Coincidentally, this is also when furong flowers bloom. Enjoying hairy crabs and viewing furong flowers offers a unique experience.
Apart from furong flowers, the reed marshes on Huludao Island are also a highlight of the scenic area. Visitors can take speedboats to tour the entire scenic area or paddle a boat with friends on the lake. As you navigate through the vast reed marshes, admiring the lake’s scenery that appears and disappears amidst the swaying reeds, you will feel as if you are in a paradise away from the mundane world.
