Hulutao Scenic Area is located 1 kilometer southeast of the town seat of Xuzhuang Town. The village is situated amidst a series of connected mountains, boasting over 10,000 acres of mountainous land with a forest coverage rate of 95%. It has been recognized as a ‘Shandong Province Tourism Characteristic Village’.
The ecological environment of the village is beautiful, with green mountains and clear waters interspersed, lush century-old trees, cascading high mountain waterfalls, and streams flowing within the connected mountains. The forest coverage rate is as high as 95%, making it a rare tourist village with green mountains, clear waters, culture, heritage, and simple folk customs.
The village has a strong red cultural heritage, with a tradition of loving the military and the people. In May 1940, the Hulutao Cadre Meeting was held. Hulutao Village is known as the ‘Little Yan’an’ of Shanting District. It is open to the public from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round.
