Huzhou City Museum is a medium-sized comprehensive museum that integrates collection, research, and display at the prefecture level. It currently houses nearly ten thousand cultural relics, reflecting the cultural characteristics of Huzhou from different perspectives throughout various historical periods. The museum is divided into five major functional areas including a collection storage area, exhibition area, and visitor service area.


The exhibition hall is divided into four units: Qingyuan Landscape, Historical Overview, Prosperous Huzhou, and Elegant Life, showcasing the prosperity and wealth of Huzhou in agriculture, handicrafts, and textiles since ancient times through physical displays and technological means. Impressive models of irrigation systems and ancient towns are particularly noteworthy.


Opening hours: All year round, Tuesday to Sunday 09:00-16:30; Monday closed all day; New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day 09:00-16:30. Basic exhibitions: Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-16:30, temporary exhibitions: Monday to Sunday 9:00-16:30, last entry at 16:00.
