The Huzhou Museum is a medium-sized comprehensive museum at the prefecture-level city integrating collection, research and display. It has nearly ten thousand pieces of cultural relics in its collection, reflecting the cultural features of Huzhou in various historical periods from different aspects. The museum is divided into five functional areas including the collection warehouse area, exhibition area, and audience service area. The exhibitions in the exhibition hall are divided into four units: Qingyuan landscapes, historical overview, prosperous Huzhou, and refined life. Through physical displays and scientific and technological means, it systematically presents the prosperous and affluent life of Huzhou in agriculture, handicrafts, textile industry and other aspects since ancient times. Among them, the models of irrigation systems and ancient towns are impressive.


Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:30 throughout the year; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:00 to 16:30 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. Basic exhibitions: From Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 – 16:30. Temporary exhibitions: From Monday to Sunday, 9:00 – 16:30. Admission stops at 16:00.
