Huzhu Pagoda is located to the right of the central peak of Tianma Mountain. The pagoda, constructed with brick and wood, features an octagonal plan and stands seven stories high, measuring 18.82 meters in height, in a pavilion style. Each level is adorned with an eaves, a flat seat, and railings, making it an exquisite treasure tower originally. This ancient pagoda, dating back to the Northern Song Dynasty, once housed relics and was not originally leaning. However, due to people discovering Song Dynasty coins in the brick crevices and dismantling bricks to search for treasure, nearly a quarter of the brickwork at the base was removed, causing the pagoda to gradually lean. Yet, the ancient pagoda leans without falling, with a tilt even surpassing that of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. Nowadays, one can observe the large hole at the northwest corner of the pagoda’s base, but the wooden ladder inside has been destroyed by fire, making it impossible to ascend. The pagoda is open to visitors year-round from 08:30 to 16:00.
