The ‘Festival of Southern Inspection’ records that the Imperial Garden during the Qianlong period was one of the ten scenic spots of Qixia during the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited the south six times and stayed at the Qixia Palace five times, where the Imperial Garden was his place for appreciating flowers, exploring the secluded, composing poetry, and calligraphy. The ‘Sheshan Records’ also states that the Imperial Garden gathers rare flowers and plants from all over the country.
The garden features steep and beautiful rocks, cloud-like formations, and inscriptions by celebrities from the Southern Dynasties to the Ming Dynasty. Together with the secluded hermitages, pavilions, and corridors, they form a tranquil and splendid royal garden. The reconstructed Imperial Garden is located in the core area of the scenic spot, with mountains and waters, backed by the main peak, fronted by Peach Blossom Lake, and Tiankai Rock to the south. The garden is covered with trees and forests, lush green in spring and fiery red in autumn, with a unique geographical location.Imperial Garden
