During his lifetime, Emperor Qianlong made six southern tours, and each time he passed through Nanjing, he would visit Yuhua Terrace, composing poems on the spot, which led to the creation of the Qianlong Imperial Stele at Yuhua Terrace. The stele is inscribed with four poems that Qianlong composed during his three visits to Yuhua Terrace in the 16th, 27th, and 30th years of his reign. In 1997, the Yuhua Terrace scenic area constructed a four-cornered pavilion above it. The pavilion, styled after the architecture of the Ming and Qing dynasties, is elegant and majestic. It is open all year round and accessible at all times, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.
