Ink Danxia Tourism Area is located in Yongning Street, Pukou District, Nanjing City. It is located at the northern foot of the beautiful Laoshan Mountain and in the hinterland of Pearl Spring Tourism Resort. In recent years, it has successively been awarded the titles of national 3A-level tourist attraction, excellent competition area of 2017 China Mountain Bike Open in the year, Yangtze River Delta outdoor sports base, and Jiangsu science popularization education base.
The project started planning and design in April 2015 and officially opened on April 16, 2016. Ink Danxia is accompanied by mountains. It is rich in mountain forest resources, with beautiful environment, fresh air and high content of negative oxygen ions, which can be called a ‘natural oxygen bar’. Relying on the status advantage of the cycling venue of the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games and the cultural inheritance in the post-Youth Olympic era, the scenic area takes the natural environment of the Laoshan forest as the base, focuses on the sports function centered on cycling, and integrates folk culture, geological and animal and plant ecological culture, and hot spring culture to create a comprehensive tourist attraction integrating ecological sightseeing, cultural experience, sports and leisure, and parent-child entertainment.
