The Jiading Bamboo Carving Museum is located in Jiading Villa in the Zhouqiao historical and cultural style protection area of Jiading District, Shanghai. It exhibits the museum’s collections and modern fine Jiading bamboo carvings. From time to time, it also exhibits bamboo carving artworks collected by various collection institutions and collectors. In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, three generations of Zhu He pioneered the Jiading school bamboo carving art mainly in the forms of deep relief and openwork.
It is also one of the artistic masterpieces in Jiading area with rich cultural connotations and regional characteristics. In 2006, Jiading bamboo carving was announced as the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection list.
