Jiang Shou Shan’s Former Residence

Jiang Shou Shan’s Former Residence, also known as Jiang Baiwan’s Former Residence or San Tiao Ying Ancient Building, is the old home of Jiang Shou Shan, a well-known wealthy merchant in late Qing Dynasty Nanjing.
The residence features dark bricks and black tiles, stretching for hundreds of meters with layers upon layers of buildings. The architecture progresses in height from the front to the back, culminating in a multi-story building, symbolizing the concept of ‘rise step by step’. Commonly referred to as ‘Ninety-Nine and a Half Rooms’, it holds extremely high cultural value and is a precious historical and cultural resource and wealth. It is an important part of the Confucius Temple and the Qinhuai River scenic belt, as well as a historical and cultural city in Nanjing, and is now a provincial cultural heritage site.
The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round.
