Jiangnan Sanmin Cultural Village is located in the north-central part of Chongming Ecological Island. It is a cultural village where many folk collections can be seen. It is very close to Qianwei Ecological Village and can be visited together. Or you can stay overnight in the scenic area and go to Dongping Forest Park the next day. If teams come to play, they can engage in some expansion projects and play live-action CS (at an additional cost).
There are many exhibition halls in the scenic area. Some tourists summarize them as ‘things used by grandpa, things known by father, and things that descendants don’t understand’. Here, you can not only see old cigarette labels, Jiangnan carved beds, and dressing boxes, but also understand the textile process of Chongming homespun cloth. In addition to visiting exhibition halls, tourists can also experience some old activities here, such as treading on waterwheels, walking on stilts, and pushing iron hoops (at an additional cost), which can evoke many memories of people who have experienced that era. The treasure of the cultural village is the ‘Chinese Dragon’ in the Chinese Dragon Palace that has won the Guinness World Records. The full-length physical dragon is 36 meters long. The dragon scales are made of old carved boards that are 50 to 500 years old. Tourists who come here should not miss it. If you stay here, the colorful lanterns in the village at night are also a major attraction.
