Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Museum

The Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Museum gathers more than 5,000 fine arts and crafts works in 16 categories including wood carving, embroidery, purple clay, and brocade. Among them, the large mahogany carving of ‘Four Famous Pillars’ set in the lobby on the first floor is made of four rare mahogany logs with a length of 10 meters and a diameter of 1 meter. Based on China’s four famous classical novels, it takes the homophonic meaning. It has high attainments in technique and volume and can be called a contemporary national treasure.
