The new building of Jiangyin Museum was opened to the public on October 1, 2005. The new building is located on the west side of Tianhua Cultural Square on Chengjiang Middle Road in Jiangyin City. The museum has fourteen exhibition halls, including exhibition halls for physical objects such as natural specimens, strange stones, and ores, which are very popular among the public, especially children. The entire museum has 14 exhibition halls, including the Ancient History Hall of Jiangyin, Ceramics Hall, Tao Bai Calligraphy and Painting Hall, Gold, Silver and Jade Hall, Bronze Ware Hall, Ancient Stone Carvings Hall, Ancient Inscriptions Hall, Ming and Qing Costumes Hall, Buddhist Cultural Relics Hall, Liu Brothers’ Achievements Hall, Natural Specimen Hall, Hua Xingcai Strange Stone Hall and Ore Specimen Hall.
Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 16:30; Closed all day on Monday throughout the year; Open from 09:00 to 16:30 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
