Jianmen Pass is located in Dakou Town, Lin’an City, Zhejiang Province, and is a major attraction within the Zhejiang West Grand Canyon. The main scenic spots include: the Five Elements Peaks, known as ‘Five Generations under One Roof’, the Hiding Army Cave, Jianmen Iron Suspension Bridge, Rock Pine, Bamboo Forest Path, Mandarin Duck Turning Stone, Immovable Stone, Tashui Bridge, and Tingtao Pavilion. The towering rock peaks stand side by side, blocking the Changbei Stream, forming the ‘gate’. On both sides of the mountains, there is a pair of sword-shaped rocks, hence the name ‘Jianmen’. On one side of Jianmen Ridge is a slope, known as the Gold Panning Flat; on the other side is a series of cliffs, arranged from high to low. There is a viewing platform and a gold panning pavilion on the cliffs. The Gold Panning Pavilion stands elegantly in the air, exuding a sense of freedom. Below the cliffs lies the Jianmen Pool, with clear and crisp waters. The opening hours are from March 2nd to November 30th, 07:00-17:30; from December 1st to March 1st, 08:00-16:00.
