Jianmen Scenic Area is located at the peak of the Jinfeng of Yushan, with an altitude of 261 meters, and is renowned for its stone scenery. It is said that King Wu of Wu, Fuchai, tested his sword here, splitting a stone with one sword, creating two stone doors with a gap. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty inscribed the words ‘Smoke and Mist Lofty’ and the imperial seal on the giant stone of Jianmen.

Below Jianmen, there are also cliff carvings from celebrities of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The scenic area also includes attractions such as Gui Xiang Garden, Fu Shui Qing Yan, Qu Shi Si’s Tomb, Song Feng Pavilion, Cang Hai Temple, Bao Guo Yuan, Fu Shui Shuang Qiao, and more. Climbing Jianmen, one can feel the mountain breeze and enjoy a broad view, with lakes crisscrossing, paths intertwining, farmhouses everywhere, and leisurely boats sailing, all in sight.
