The observation deck’s glass curtain wall provides an expansive view, allowing for a panoramic overlook of the city’s scenery. It is recommended to visit near dusk in the afternoon, when the weather is good, to witness the captivating sunset. Under the night sky, Lujiazui and the Bund are beautifully illuminated by lights. Additionally, coin-operated telescopes are available for use within the observation deck.
From the 53rd to the 87th floor, the Jin Mao Tower houses the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, with a particularly striking atrium. Dozens of circular corridors are illuminated by neon lights, creating a dazzling and enchanting scene. Looking down from the 88th-floor observation deck into the atrium feels like peering into a time tunnel.
Outside the 88th floor of Jin Mao Tower, there is a glass walkway, over 340 meters above the ground, spanning approximately 60 meters in length, which is one of the higher unguarded outdoor skywalks. Walking here feels like treading on clouds, allowing for a 360-degree view of the entire Shanghai skyline, unobstructed.
