Jing’an Park is located opposite the ancient Jing’an Temple. The park, shaped like a convex figure, is bordered by Yan’an Middle Road to the south, Huashan Road to the west, and residential areas to the east. After more than 40 years of development, it has become a fresh and elegant urban oasis in the city center.
At the heart of Jing’an Park are 32 century-old plane trees along the central avenue. The northern main entrance leads to the Jing’an Park Scenic Ginkgo Square. The eastern part is a historical and cultural space, featuring the ancient ‘Eight Sights of Jing’an’, and is constructed using traditional gardening techniques that create depth and separation through small-scale elements, resulting in the ‘Jing’an Eight Sights Garden’.
The southeast section boasts undulating ornamental lawns; while the open western area capitalizes on the elevated dome of the Jing’an Temple subway station and the ground level difference, creating a mountain and water landscape with large artificial rock waterfalls. The hillside is adorned with precious flowers and trees, and an observation platform is set up, offering a spectacular ‘urban forest’ view, providing a space in the modern metropolis for experiencing natural landscapes.
Jing’an Park promotes plant diversity, housing over 300 species of plants. The aquatic plants in the park’s ornamental ponds are particularly attractive to tourists from home and abroad. The park is open all year round, 24 hours a day. Specific opening hours are subject to the on-site announcements at the attraction.
