Under the autumn sun, the golden leaves were almost dazzling. The ancient temple, nestled among high-rise buildings, stood in stark contrast to the bustling traffic outside. As a first-time visitor to Jing’an Temple, I felt somewhat out of place in this setting. However, the presence of several ancient ginkgo trees within the temple grounds added a touch of natural intimacy.
My daughter and I walked around, burned incense, kowtowed, made wishes, and made donations. The white marble railings surrounding the Mahavira Hall, adorned with golden ginkgo leaves, created a stunning visual.
