Jinghu National Urban Wetland Park encompasses grasslands, wetlands, lakes and hills from the north of the city to the Hangzhou Bay. The water surface and wetlands cover several square kilometers. The ten-mile lotus blossoms are in full bloom, presenting a water town scene. The park has mountains, water and lawns, and is very suitable for spending half a day on an outing with family and friends. The ‘completed scenic area’ with complete facilities is mainly Meishan Wetland. When the weather is good, many people fly kites on the large lawn of the park. You can also climb Meishan. The special landscape of the park is the Bipang (avoiding wind pond) of Angsang Lake on the north side of Meishan Wetland. At first glance, the long stone pond road crosses the lake. Because the lake is wide, it is more photogenic than the towpath in Keqiao. This stone pond was built in the Ming Dynasty. When the wind blows, there are waves on one side of the Bipang and no waves on the other side. Boats can enter the windless side of the lake from the Bipang bridge to take shelter. If you want to walk around Angsang Lake, you can take bus No. 188 and get off at ‘Lintou’ station, and then go north along the river to the Bipang Farmhouse. You can also have meals and fish here. Behind the farmhouse is the wide Angsang Lake.
