Jingjiang People’s Park is located in the city center of Jingjiang. It was first built in 1917. At that time, the Tonghai Allied Forces guarded Jingjiang. They used the open space of Chongsheng Temple to build a garden. Gardeners were hired to plant flowers and grass, build rockeries and pavilions, and it initially had the style of a garden and was named ‘Public Garden’. Therefore, many people still call it Public Garden. After liberation, it was renamed People’s Park. At present, the area of People’s Park is 71 mu. The park has taken on a new look, and all kinds of supporting facilities are basically complete. It has also created its own characteristics and is famous at home and abroad for its orchids and landscape bonsai.
