The Jinhua Museum is located in the historical and cultural block of Guzicheng. The total construction area is 13,600 square meters, of which the exhibition hall area is 4,700 square meters. There are more than 37,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics and ancient books in the collection. The exhibition is based on Ai Qing’s line ‘Why are there often tears in my eyes? Because I love this land deeply.’ There are five exhibition halls: ‘Ancient Charm of Eight Wus’, ‘Magical Land’, ‘Local Folk Customs’, ‘Hometown of Hundreds of Craftsmen’, and ‘Passing on Poetry and Books’. They interpret this land of Jinhua from multiple disciplines and perspectives such as history, geology, sociology, industrial and commercial civilization, and cultural heritage, showing the profound historical and cultural accumulation of Jinhua as ‘a state of historical culture, a land of magnificent mountains and rivers, a place where celebrities gather, and a city with prosperous culture’. The Jinhua Museum is a comprehensive prefecture-level museum integrating education, research, collection, protection and exhibition functions.
