Jinhua Zoo is a comprehensive theme park integrating wildlife viewing and performances, tourism, leisure and entertainment, and popular science education. It is a professional zoo in central Zhejiang. The entire park covers an area of 366 mu. With undulating mountains and lush forests, it is a mountainous ecological zoo with unique features. Nearly 100 species and more than 1,000 rare and endangered wild animals from all over the world are exhibited in the park, including golden tigers, Siberian tigers, African lions, brown bears, black bears, wolves, crocodiles, red pandas, macaques, swans, peacocks and other rare and endangered wild animals from home and abroad. Natural stocking, mixed breeding and captive breeding are implemented in one, imitating the original ecological natural space and giving wild animals a real home. Here, you can enjoy cheerful animal shows, wonderful acrobatic shows and exciting large amusement projects such as pirate ships, Ferris wheels, self-controlled planes, luxury carousels and water cruise ships. Observing wild animals and enjoying the forest oxygen bar, the unique original natural landscape and the wild animal spirits full of wild fun will bring you a brand new joyful experience. Jinhua Zoo is the city’s terrestrial wild animal rescue center and Wucheng District’s terrestrial wild animal rescue station. It has been rated as a military-civilian co-construction double-support unit in Jinhua City and a consumer protection and integrity member unit in Jinhua City. At present, it is a national 3A-level scenic spot and a popular science education base in the city. Jinhua Zoo is an ideal classroom for popular science education on wild animal protection for the vast number of teenagers, and also an ideal base for wild animal protection and scientific research in central Zhejiang.
