Jinsha Beach is located on the southeast coast of Huangdao Development Zone. The sand quality at Jinsha Beach is finer than that of the major public beaches in the city center, and it boasts an extensive coastline. Away from the hustle and bustle and with fewer tourists, the beach also hosts the annual Jinsha Beach Cultural Tourism Festival every summer. Here, you can stroll or run barefoot, enjoying the soft sand underfoot, and bring your children to engage in sand sculpting, kite flying, or wade into the waves and swim. Additionally, you can experience speedboats, water bicycles, and beach volleyball. The scenic area also features children’s amusement rides such as carousels, pirate ships, and inflatable children’s playgrounds.
The Jinsha Beach Cultural Tourism Festival is held annually during the summer months (typically from mid to late July to mid-August), with each opening ceremony inviting numerous well-known singers and dance troupes from home and abroad. There are exciting performances and singing contests, attracting a large number of tourists during the summer and golden weeks. If you prefer a more tranquil experience, consider visiting in June or September when the scenery is more pristine.
When visiting in summer, it is important to take protective measures. During the peak tourist season, many vendors provide services such as renting sun umbrellas, storage, and foot-washing water. There are also water sports like jet skis and parasailing that are worth trying.
