Jiuhua Dizang Temple was originally constructed during the Longxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, with a history spanning over 800 years. The temple currently features an old-style main hall with three visible and five hidden bays, housing a statue of the Dizang King Bodhisattva, flanked by the Fengdu Emperor on the right and the Dongyu Emperor on the left. Additionally, there are ten halls dedicated to the Ten Kings of Hell, each adorned with statues of the kings, civil and military judges, and various night叉 demons, all vividly portrayed.
On the western side, there are twelve rooms in a two-story building, with the upper level serving as monks’ quarters and the lower level as commercial space. The eastern wing consists of four rooms, where multiple Buddhas are enshrined, reflecting the coexistence of Buddhism and Taoism.
There is an ancient saying, ‘If you burn incense at Langshan but do not visit Jiuhua Dizang Temple, your merit is only half complete.’ The temple is open year-round from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
