The Jiuhua Mountain Grand Wish Cultural Park is located in Kecun at the northern foot of the Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. It is divided into parts such as the bronze statue of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, the inner and outer Mingtang squares, the Buddhist culture exhibition center, the Buddhist academy, the Puji courtyard, and the Xiaoxitian scenic area. The 99-meter-high outdoor bronze statue of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is the landmark of the scenic area. The holy statue of Ksitigarbha has five outstanding features. First, the height of the holy statue of Ksitigarbha. Second, the large white marble lotus. Third, the large outdoor glazed wall. Fourth, the large Buddha’s light pool with a diameter of 99 meters and a depth of only 20 centimeters. The bottom of the pool is entirely paved with golden mosaics. Fifth, there are many precious tree species planted, including more than 300 kinds of precious trees such as camphor trees, ginkgo biloba, osmanthus, and Mexican bald cypress. The ingenious part of the bronze statue lies in the selected angle. The bronze statue faces west and stands in the position of a bhikkhu. The right hand holds a tin staff, and the left hand holds a Mani pearl. With Lion Peak as the background, when the sun rises, there are thousands of rays of sunlight from the front. Moreover, in the spring equinox and autumn equinox seasons every year, a unique ‘Buddha’s light’ phenomenon will form.
Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00. Preferential policies: For disabled people: Disabled people (grades 1 to 4) are free; disabled people (grades 5 to 10) enjoy discounts. For the elderly: Elderly people aged 65 years old (inclusive) and above are free; elderly people aged 60 years old (inclusive) and above enjoy discounts. For children: Children under 1.2 meters (excluding) in height carried by adults are free; children with a height of 1.2 meters (inclusive) to 1.4 meters (inclusive) carried by adults can purchase discounted tickets with certificates. For military personnel: Active-duty military personnel, disabled military personnel, and military retirees are free with certificates.
