The Jiulongkou Nature Reserve, known as the ‘pearl of Lixiahe River’, is located in Jianhu County in the abdomen of Sheyang Lake. It is formed by the confluence of nine natural rivers such as Xianhe River, with a water surface of about 100,000 mu. Here, there are waterfowl delicacies, a wide variety of Chai Pu Ling Ou (a kind of plant). Rich resources of fish, shrimp, crabs and turtles earn it the reputation of ‘golden beach and silver marsh’.
There are 64 kinds of wild animals, 75 kinds of wild plants, 62 kinds of trees, 36 kinds of aquatic products and 38,000 mu of marsh. It is a natural ‘cornucopia’. The ecological landscape of Jiulongkou is unique. Nine silver rivers meander from different directions of south, west and north, presenting infinitely beautiful lake scenery. If you go boating on the water, you can see hundreds of birds competing in flight and fishing boats dotted. In the clear lake water, fish and shrimp are playing and aquatic plants are swaying, making people relaxed and happy, reluctant to leave. Open all year round.
