Jiulongshan National Forest Park is located on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay, just two to three kilometers away from the Jiulongshan tourist area, and adjacent to the ancient town of Zhapu. Within the forest park, the Nanwan Scenic Area is a must-visit spot, boasting a wealth of natural and cultural landscapes. It is named after the ancient cannons of Nanwan, and visitors can also see the remains of Meng Jiangnu, the Zhennü Pavilion, the Haihong Pavilion, and the departure point of ‘Dream of the Red Chamber’, all related to the famous novel.

Adjacent to the forest park, Tangshan Park, which is by the sea, is an ideal summer retreat for tourists. Inside Tangshan Park, you can see another famous ancient battery of Zhapu – the Tianfei Palace Battery. The park is open year-round from 08:30 to 16:30.
