Jiuzi Square is one of the landmarks of Wuhu, located in the city center, adjacent to Jinghu Lake in the south, and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street in the west. Here, you can appreciate the urban landscape of Wuhu and enjoy delicious food and shopping at Zhongshan Road. In the evenings, it is common to see locals taking a stroll, with the expansive lake in front of the square bringing a refreshing breeze, making it an ideal place to cool off on summer nights. Wuhu was historically known as ‘Jiuzi’, and the square features a 33-meter tall bronze statue of the Jiuzi bird, which is quite striking, surrounded by fountains, where you can take a photo with the statue. On the northern side of the square, the Historical and Cultural Corridor has stone pillars engraved with reliefs representing Wuhu’s history and culture, including the swordsmithing of Gan Jiang and Mo Ye, and Li Bai and Tianmen Mountain. The square is surrounded by a green belt, with flower beds arranged into various attractive patterns. The opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
