The Jiuziyan Scenic Area is located in the south of Qingyang County, Chizhou City. It is about 9 kilometers away from the county seat. It belongs to the back mountain of the Jiuhua Mountain range. The main peak, Tianhuafeng, has an altitude of 1084 meters. It is said that Prince Jin Qiaojue of Silla Kingdom (South Korea), who is considered to be the reincarnation of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha. The first place of practice in Jiuhua Mountain is Jiuziyan. However, Jiuziyan and Jiuhua Mountain are not the same scenic area. The gates of the two are quite far apart. There are not many tourists in Jiuziyan. There are several temples on the mountain, which are very quiet. The natural landscape mainly consists of viewing strange peaks and rocks, and there are also waterfalls to see. At the foot of Jiuziyan, you can see Shuangxi Temple. Not far from the main hall is Daxing Flesh Body Hall. Inside the hall, you can see the flesh body of Monk Daxing. This is the first flesh body since the founding of New China. Then you can choose to walk up the mountain or take the cableway. The cableway costs 45 yuan to go up the mountain, 35 yuan to go down the mountain, and 80 yuan for a round trip. If you walk, take the direction of Qibuquan Waterfall. This waterfall is a magnificent waterfall in the scenic area. Then reach Jiuzisi through Liugongzhai Fort with a history of more than 800 years. Along the way from the foot of the mountain to Jiuzisi, there are also several small temples and cliff carvings to see. Jiuzisi is not far from the upper station of the cableway. It is also known as Huayan Temple and Guanghua Courtyard. On the left side in front of the main hall of the temple, there is an inscription on a stone tablet from the Ming Dynasty. It takes about 2 hours to climb to the high place of Tianhuafeng from Jiuzisi. Along the way, the strange peaks and rocks look like people and things, and you can use your imagination. After visiting Tianhuafeng, you can go down the mountain and return. In the Jiuziyan Scenic Area, several temples have vegetarian food. Ask the master of the temple, and he will tell you where to eat specifically.
