The Junzhang Ancient Path is located in the hilly area on the east coast of Meiliang Lake in Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It has a history of several hundred or even thousands of years. It was a passage for mountain people to travel before the appearance of roads in the 1970s. The main road is paved with stones and is about three feet wide; the auxiliary road is slightly narrower and clearly distinguishable. In the past, mountain people would cut the firewood on both sides of the ancient road clean every year. While facilitating passage, it also added fuel to the stove. Since the emergence of roads, the role of the ancient path has been weakening day by day. Over time, most of it has been buried in the wild grass and shrubbery. However, there are still some sections, such as the pilgrimage road. Every year, Buddhist believers volunteer to work and mow the weeds to maintain a clear road surface. The starting point of the Junzhang Ancient Path is in Baojie Mountain Forest Park. Parking is convenient. The meeting point is wide, flat and pleasant. The total length is about 20 kilometers and it is divided into six sections. The junction of sections is the withdrawal point. It is no more than 1 kilometer from the bus stop, and the nearest is only dozens of meters. Open all year round and open all day.
