Kai Xian Gong Village is located in the southeast of Qidu Town. As a natural village, it is situated along the west side of a small, curved Qing River that runs from east to west. When viewed from above, the southern village resembles a bow while this village symbolizes an arrow, hence the name.
Kai Xian Gong Village is positioned on the southern bank of Lake Tai, only 3 kilometers away from the lake. Historically, this area has been known for fishing in the lake and cultivating silkworms on land. In spring, the rapeseed flowers are a rich yellow, and in autumn, the rice is bountiful and heavy. Despite the low-lying terrain and susceptibility to water disasters, it remains a land of fish and silkworms.

The Tang Dynasty poet Lu Gui Meng’s verse ‘Everywhere rely on silkworm screens, every household sets fish traps’ depicts the economic toil and life scene of the ancestors in this region.

The village is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
