Langya Mountain, named after the title bestowed by Emperor Yuan of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Sima Rui, is a place where city and mountain integrate seamlessly. Located in the southwest of Chuzhou City, it boasts a wealth of historical and cultural resources as well as stunning natural beauty. It is home to the ‘Number One Pavilion Under Heaven,’ the Zuiweng Pavilion, and is recognized as one of the first batch of national AAAA-level tourist attractions, a national scenic area, and a national forest park.
The Langya Mountain scenic area spans 115 square kilometers and encompasses three major areas: the Zuiweng Pavilion area, the Puxian area, and the Qingliuguan area. Nestled within the Zuiweng Pavilion area, the scenic area itself covers 4.98 square kilometers and is a treasure trove of both historical and cultural resources and ecological landscape resources of Langya Mountain. It is divided into five major tourist areas: the Zuiweng Pavilion cultural theme area, the Tongleyuan study tourism area, the Langya mystery exploration area, the Nantianmen sightseeing area, and the Shenxiu Lake leisure and sports area.
