Laoshan National Forest Park is located in Laoshan Forest Farm in the middle of Pukou District on the north bank of the Yangtze River in Nanjing City. It runs through Pukou District and is known as ‘Nanjing’s green lung and Jiangbei’s pearl’. The forest coverage rate exceeds 80% and it is the ‘green lung’ of Jinling. The natural landscape of Laoshan is famous for its four unique features: forests, springs, stones, and caves. There are overlapping peaks and beautiful scenery. The high peaks are majestic and dangerous. The hills are undulating. The lush forests and bamboo are verdant. The green mountains and clear waters are pleasant. The winding paths lead to secluded places for visiting ancient sites. In the meditation rooms, one can understand the Buddhist teachings by listening to sutras. There are temples, tombs, springs, and caves in the park. The natural landscape and cultural landscape are integrated. The ‘majestic appearance of Shiling’ in Laoshan was included in one of the forty-eight scenic spots in Jinling as early as the early Qing Dynasty. Yingzishan Scenic Area The Yingzishan Scenic Area is located in the middle of Laoshan Forest Park. Jiangpu Forest Avenue runs through it and the Pearl Spring Scenic Area is adjacent to it. There are numerous peaks and ridges here. There are nearly a hundred peaks of various sizes. The average altitude is 200 meters. The highest peak, Dacishan, is 442 meters above sea level. There are towering ancient trees and beautiful bamboo forests. The scenery is pleasant. The Yingzishan sightseeing tower was built in 1988. It is a five-story fenced hexagonal lookout tower about 20 meters high. It is located on the top of Yingzishan Mountain at an altitude of 326 meters. At first, it was mainly used for forest fire prevention lookout. Later, due to the development of forest tourism, it is now mainly used for tourism and sightseeing. Standing on the tower, Xiangshan in Pukou directly in front of you is to the south of your location. The mountain on the right is called Mianzi Mountain. The mountain on the left is Zhongyizi Mountain. The peaks to the left in turn are Maozi Mountain, Dayizi Mountain, and Heishi Mountain.
