It has been a long time since I last visited the Bund. A couple of days ago, when I had nothing to do, I took a stroll casually and unknowingly arrived at the Bund. That day the weather was not very good. The sun appeared and disappeared from time to time. However, the Bund still gave people a bright feeling. Because of that openness, and the several balloons at Chen Yi Square added a bit of liveliness.

Being alone at the Bund is a great feeling. Because there is no need to speak and one is not disturbed, one can quietly admire and freely pick the beautiful scenery in one’s heart. The view of the Bund is quite broad, without any sense of constraint. Looking at the river, looking at the ships, looking at the buildings, even looking at the handsome men and beautiful women passing by, one can look from a distance quietly and let distance create beauty. In this way, one’s mood is naturally comfortable.

The biggest gain this time is the discovery of a large number of river gulls. These white waterbirds sometimes fly cheerfully on the river, and sometimes curl up and float on the water. They are very lovely. In the past, I had never noticed this.

I am thinking that since the scenery around us can always be seen anew, then isn’t ordinary life the same? Only, this requires an ordinary heart that loves life and beauty.
