Li Bai Cultural Park is located in Dangtu, Anhui, a region known for its scenic beauty and vibrant cultural heritage. Nestled at the foot of lush green mountains and clear waters, the park is the final resting place of the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai (701-762). Throughout his sixty-two years of a nomadic life, Li Bai passionately praised Dangtu and left behind over fifty literary works and numerous legendary tales for this land.
The Li Bai Cultural Park is nestled against the verdant Daqing Mountain, facing the ever-flowing Qingshan River, surrounded by forests and water, creating a tranquil environment. It features more than twenty scenic spots including the memorial archway, Taibai Stele Forest, Qingting Pavilion, Taibai Temple, Li Bai’s Tomb, Shiyung Pavilion, and Qinglian Academy. Visitors can enjoy the azaleas in spring, admire the lotus in summer, smell the osmanthus in autumn, and appreciate the wintersweet in winter, amidst pavilions, towers, bamboos, and flowing waters, all complementing and enhancing each other. The mountain, with its clear waters and beautiful forests, offers a view from the south like a blooming lotus, graceful and charming; from the north, it resembles a pair of heavenly towers, reaching into the sky…
The Li Bai Cultural Park and Qingshan are renowned cultural tourist attractions for Qingming outings, autumn hikes, learning about Li Bai and his poetry, tasting Jiangnan garden craftsmanship, and appreciating works by modern calligraphers. Opening hours are from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round.
