Huai’an is a city built and prospered because of rivers. The ancient canal passes through the city, leaving rich human history and regional customs for Huai’an. In history, Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong both made six southern tours and stopped in Huai’an. When Empress Dowager Cixi was selected and went to Beijing from Huai’an, a story of gratitude and repayment occurred. The misspelling written by Emperor Qianlong and the 600-year-old Qingjiang Grand Sluice are still intact. The cruise on the Li Canal at night does not go to Hexia Ancient Town but only sails in the urban area. The sailing time is about 40 minutes. The navigation section is from the ancient canal cruise dock – Yuexiu Bridge – Beimen Bridge – ancient canal cruise dock. The scenery of the Li Canal at night is no less than the ancient canal in Yangzhou and the Qinhuai River at Confucius Temple in Nanjing. You can take beautiful night views.
