The Lianhai Dam is located 30 kilometers southeast of Lianyungang city, within the Lianyungang district. It stretches from the Huangshi Mouth of Beigushan in Lianyungang district to Jiangjiakou of Lian Island, the largest island in Jiangsu, with a total length of 6700 meters, connecting Lian Island to the mainland and is known as the ‘First Dam of China’.
From a scenic perspective, it offers visitors a unique viewpoint. The dam is approximately ten kilometers long, with the bay of Lianyungang on one side and the vast ocean on the other. Leaning on the railing and gazing into the distance, with the sea breeze in your face, one can truly appreciate the grandeur of the mountains and the sea connected to the clouds.
