The Lighthouse Scenic Area is a well-established landmark in Rizhao, named after the towering navigational lighthouse standing by the shore. It features a square, a beach, and offers a broad view with beautiful scenery.
The 36-meter-tall lighthouse stands in the center of the square. At night, the five-tiered water curtain, accompanied by colorful music, flows, making the entire landscape appear radiant and dreamlike under the reflection of night lights.
The scenic area by the shore has a large beach, but the sand here is relatively coarse and there are many black reefs. It is an excellent place for taking landscape photos, which is why many newlyweds can often be seen taking wedding photos here. The area is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
