Lijiatai Sea-Chasing Park in Rizhao is a distinctive tourist attraction focusing on sea-chasing and fishing activities, while also offering a comprehensive experience of dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, entertainment, and shopping.
Located in the Rizhao Shanhaitian Tourism Resort, the park is bordered by the Yellow Sea to the east, faces Taohua Island Scenic Garden to the south, and is backed by the Lu Nan National Forest Park to the north, making it a central area for inter-city tourism between Rizhao and Qingdao.
The park’s coastline spans approximately 2 kilometers and covers an area of over 1 million square meters, featuring a gently sloping beach and numerous reefs. A variety of shellfish and marine life, such as the West施舌, Japanese Crown Whip Crab (commonly known as ‘Sea Cicada’), Wen clams, White clams, Fragrant snails, Fan-shaped clams, and Large Bamboo Clams, thrive in the area.
After the tide recedes, the flat sandy beach provides an ideal setting for various sea-chasing activities such as digging for clams, fishing for bamboo clams, collecting sea snails, and catching crabs, allowing visitors to fully enjoy themselves.
During high tide, the sea water rushes in from all directions, creating a spectacular sight. The park’s opening hours and operating status are subject to the day’s conditions.
