Linggong Society, established by Mr. Zhang Jian in 1919, is a pioneering drama school primarily focused on teaching Peking Opera. Additionally, it offers courses in Kunqu Opera, spoken drama, dance, and Western music.
Exhibitions are held daily, performances weekly, lectures monthly, and renowned artists featured quarterly. Annual competitions further the legacy of Mr. Zhang’s reformative thoughts on improving social ethos and cultivating moral sentiments through drama.
The society is open all year round from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 13:15 to 17:00. Entry is not allowed half an hour before closing, and specific business hours are subject to the day’s opening status.
