The Lingshan Cave, historically known as ‘Yunquan Lingdong’ and now named ‘Lingshan Wonderland’, is a national AAA-level scenic area. It is located on the mountainside of Lingshan in Shuangpu Town and is the core scenic spot of Hangzhou Lingshan Scenic Area. Lingshan Wonderland is a rare shaft-type double-layer limestone cave and also a magnificent sight of large karst caves in Hangzhou’s urban area. The overall karst landform is fully developed. The height difference from the bottom to the top of the cave is 109 meters. The cave is naturally ventilated and warm in winter and cool in summer. The total space inside Lingshan Wonderland exceeds 4,000 square meters and is divided into two major parts: upper and lower caves. Entering from the lower cave, a gentle breeze is accompanied by the sound of flowing springs. Stalagmites, stalactites, and stone curtains are irregularly arranged, dreamy and grotesque, making people seem to see coiled dragons, unicorns, birds and beasts one moment, and then see exotic flowers and plants and grains the next. Just when one feels as if one has arrived at a divine palace and fairy pavilion in a beautiful building, one suddenly feels as if one has entered a royal garden with pavilions and terraces. It is truly a dazzling sight and overwhelming. Various pictographic karst-shaped landscapes are even more vivid and lifelike.
The Tongjian Lake Park is located in Shuangpu Town, Xihu District, Hangzhou. It is adjacent to Yunqi Town and Yichuang Town in the north, connected to Hangzhou Lingshan Scenic Area and Xishan National Forest Park in the west, and adjoins Shuangpu New District in the east. It is a perfect combination of modern urban flood control, drainage and storage projects and the development of ancient historical famous lakes. Here we can enjoy natural landscapes, taste cultural heritage, and observe water conservancy projects. The total area of the Tongjian Lake area is 4.33 square kilometers, including 1.5 square kilometers of natural mountains, about 1.5 square kilometers of green park area, and 1.35 square kilometers of lake area, equivalent to one-fifth of the West Lake. The elevation at the bottom of the lake is 2.5 meters, and the elevation of the lake surface is 6.5m (with an average water depth of 4 meters). The total storage capacity is 5 million cubic meters, and the regulated storage capacity is 3.2 million cubic meters. Tongjian Lake focuses on creating ‘one axis, three cores, and twelve scenes’. One axis refers to taking water as the main axis in the overall planning. Inheriting Tongjian Lake’s ‘water shield soup and perch slices’ and celebrity allusions as the cultural main axis, while expanding the water surface of Tongjian Lake as the spatial main axis, integrating all resources in the area in both time and space dimensions to form a complete tourist route. The three cores are the three core themes of ‘pastoral, wetland, and culture’, closely following the overall positioning of ‘ecology, culture, and industry’. They are not only a refinement of existing resources but also a sublimation of regional development. Tongjian Lake combines flood control, drainage and storage projects with the restoration of ancient lakes, not only meeting the development needs of modern cities but also reproducing the natural scenery of Tongjian Lake in history, creating a scenic tourist destination integrating landscapes, history and culture, and leisure experiences. After restoration, Tongjian Lake will present twelve new scenic spots, which are: Searching for Flavors in the Water Shield Hometown, Meiyun in Nine Bends, Curved Willows with Dragon Scales, Dawn at Yunquan, Spring Melting in Begonia Flowers, Reed Shadows by the Green Lake, Sunset at Hubu, Visiting Stones at Tanshan Mountain, Chasing the Distance at Zhangshan Mountain, Reflections of Spruce in the Waves, Exploring the Mysterious at Mingsheng Mountain, and Gathering Fragrance in the Sea of Flowers.Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00; open all year round from 08:30 to 16:00.
