Linyi People’s Square is located in the heart of Linyi City, bordered by Linyi-Meng Road to the east, Xinhua Road to the west, Yinqueshan Road to the south, and Hongqi Road to the north. The Ba Yi Road tunnel passes through the square, connecting Jiefang Road. The square can accommodate 30,000 to 40,000 visitors at the same time, making it one of the largest squares in Shandong Province. The overall layout of the square is characterized by ‘two zones, one road, and one city’. The eastern part is a quiet zone, primarily focused on greenery, with a greening rate of 55%, and featuring the theme sculpture ‘High Mountains and Long Rivers’ among the green spaces. The western part is a dynamic zone and also a showcase area for Yimeng culture, which includes main facilities such as a dry music fountain, a 920 square meter stage, a two-story Magpie Bridge, nine Yimeng-style columns with a diameter of 2 meters and a height of 15 meters, statues of ten historical figures from Linyi, including Wang Xizhi, Zengzi, Xunzi, Kuang Heng, Liu Hong known for their cultural contributions, and Zhuge Liang, Meng Tian, Yan Zhenqing, Wang Xiang, Zuo Baoquan known for their martial contributions, as well as a relief wall depicting military strategies.
